1. Abstract

Contraceptive discontinuation is the phenomena of starting a contraceptive method and then stopping it within one year of its use. An analysis of Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS) conducted in 34 countries estimated that among women who had ever used a modern method, about 38% discontinued using a modern method.
